PKF is proud to sponsor the Tribeca Future Facing Commodities conference in Singapore, from 1st – 3rd of April 2025.
This year’s conference will bring together world leaders from the electric vehicle and critical minerals industry with global capital markets to address challenges and opportunities in this sector.
Importance of Critical Minerals
The World Bank has predicted the demand for critical minerals in renewable and clean energy technologies to increase 500% by 2050. The global rise of electric vehicles is also predicted to increase demand in battery minerals.
Companies attending the Tribeca Future Facing Commodities Conference will be central to meeting this demand as the world transitions to renewable energy generation to offset the impact of climate change.
The implication of this transition is extremely important for Australia. In 2023, the Minerals Council of Australia stated that mining contributed a record $455 billion in export revenue, highlighting the importance of the industry to the nation’s economy, government and regional jobs.
With demand for critical minerals in renewable energy and clean energy technologies set to grow exponentially, there will be increasing opportunities for exploration, extraction and innovation. Investment in technology, improving efficiency within industry and reducing environmental impact will also be crucial. Throughout the conference, industry experts will share the latest trends in resource markets and new investment opportunities.
Our team is looking forward to meeting delegates at the conference and engaging in discussions on the future of critical minerals and energy transition.
