Join us for the 19th annual Hunter Breast Care Breakfast – Thursday 16 October 2025

We’re thrilled to invite you to attend or support the 19th annual PKF Hunter Breast Care Breakfast, proudly hosted by PKF Sydney and Newcastle at NEX, Newcastle West. Since its inception in 2006, this event has raised over $380,000 to support the vital work of Hunter Breast Care Nurses via the Hunter Nurse Education Group.

At last year’s breakfast, more than 450 community members gathered, and together we raised over $60,000 to help fund continuing education and conference attendance for nurses who guide patients through their breast cancer journey. In 2025, we aim to surpass that figure and make our biggest impact yet.

Breast cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in Australia, with an estimated 20,973 women and 221 men diagnosed in 2024 and a lifetime diagnosis risk of 1 in 7 for women and 1 in 556 for men. While male breast cancer is rare, its impact is significant. The average 5-year survival rate for men diagnosed is approximately 87%. These numbers remind us that breast cancer affects people of all genders and ages.

This year’s event promises an inspiring morning: engaging guest speaker, heartfelt stories, a delicious breakfast, and an exciting raffle with outstanding prizes generously donated by local and national businesses. All proceeds go directly to supporting our breast care nurses, who provide essential care, education, and emotional support across the Hunter region.

Your participation makes a difference. Purchase a ticket or donate today to help us reach our 2025 fundraising goal.

Let’s come together again as a community to make a meaningful impact, honour the resilience of those affected by breast cancer, and support the professionals who make a real difference every day.

We hope to see you on Thursday, 16 October 2025, join us for a morning of compassion, connection, and change.
