20 years of rich history
What began as a morning tea to raise money following the tragic loss of a beloved late wife of one of the Partners at PKF Newcastle, has grown into one of the Hunter’s largest and most meaningful fundraising mornings, with all funds raised staying in the region to support the Hunter Nurse Education Group.
Over the past 20 years, the breakfast has helped fund education, conference attendance, travel grants, professional development, and nurse-led breast care research projects for local breast care nurses. These opportunities help strengthen the care available to people facing breast cancer across the Hunter, ensuring nurses can continue to provide informed, compassionate, and life-changing support when it is needed most.
The 2025 Breast Care Breakfast raised an incredible $68,299, and in 2026, is aiming to make the 20th anniversary event its most impactful breakfast yet. Tickets are on track to sell out. Guests can expect a memorable morning featuring insightful speakers, special anniversary moments, exciting raffle prizes, and the opportunity to directly support the Hunter breast care nurses who provide vital care, comfort, and guidance to patients and their families.
