Industry Growth Program welcoming applications from inventive SMEs

Is your small or medium-sized business thinking about taking the next big step in growth or innovation? If so, you could be eligible for valuable support through the Federal Government's Industry Growth Program.

Even though the grants are slated to open over the course of 2024, SMEs with projects aligned with the National Reconstruction Fund (NRF) priority areas can start applying now. This opens the door to tailored advice and assistance for:

• Creating innovative products, processes, or services (not just small tweaks to existing ones).
• Navigating early-stage commercialization, from feasibility studies to production, testing, or early prototypes.

• Guiding the commercialisation and growth journey, from initial prototyping to the final product, including scaling up and expanding into new markets

The Industry Growth Program is specifically aimed at key sectors outlined in the National Reconstruction Fund (NRF). These priority areas include:

• Enhancing value in resources
• Adding value in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries
• Advancing transportation
• Innovating in medical science
• Exploring renewables and low emissions technologies
• Strengthening defense capability
• Supporting enabling capabilities
