The opportunity
PKF Perth is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Business Advisory Services team. Working closely with Supervisors, Managers and Partners, you will manage a varied portfolio of work, prepare larger jobs and client groups to review stage with minimal assistance, and build trusted relationships with clients. You will also support junior team members and contribute to the continued improvement and growth of the team.

Key responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, Business Activity Statements and related compliance work for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Manage assigned jobs, lodgement obligations and deadlines, ensuring high-quality work is delivered on time.
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day accounting and taxation matters.
- Perform bookkeeping duties, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records as required.
- Assist with taxation and commercial advice, while contributing to workflow management, WIP, billing and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you need to apply
Ideally you will have:
- A bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- CA, CPA or equivalent qualification, or be working towards completion.
- At least 3 years' experience in business advisory, accounting or tax compliance within a professional services environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- A proactive approach to learning, continuous improvement and the use of new technology.
- An interest in coaching and supporting junior team members as they develop their careers.
