PKF Brisbane appoints new Audit Partner

PKF Brisbane has announced the appointment to their partnership group of home-grown young talent, Mr Tim Follett. The appointment of Tim as Partner in its Audit and Assurance division follows a period of strong growth in the audit practice.

This growth mirrors that also achieved in the firm’s tax consulting and Asia business groups, following senior hires in 2019.

Tim has worked with PKF Brisbane for over 14 years, beginning his career as a graduate with the firm. Tim also serves as the Chairman of a not-for-profit entity and acts in an advisory capacity to multiple boards. He joins three other audit Partners, bringing the total PKF Brisbane Partner group to eight.

I’ve had an incredible career with PKF, with my appointment to Partner sending a strong positive message to our people that we are focused on growth and retention, said Mr Follett.

“Partnership in a firm such as PKF is a worthy goal for someone who enjoys building relationships and applying a deep skillset across a wide range of industries”.

The growth of PKF is being experienced nationally and Tim’s promotion follows the appointment of four new Partners to PKF’s Sydney and Newcastle practice last month.

PKF Brisbane’s Managing Partner Liam Murphy welcomed Tim to the Partnership, “PKF is maturing as a firm and our core values are reflected in our staff retention and ability to promote from within,” he said. “Tim embodies these values and we are delighted to be able to offer Tim this opportunity. He has demonstrated a high capacity in leadership, client service, business development and general commercial skills winning our respect and the respect of his clients”.

PKF Brisbane continues to focus on a growth strategy combining organic growth with merger opportunities which fit the firm’s market profile. “Our audit practice is a significant player in the Brisbane market, with over 20 listed company clients and a range of large private companies and not-for-profits in the client base. We continue to see a high level of organic growth across the practice, but we are actively targeting business services firms to join this growth,” said Mr Murphy.
