Professional experience
Kristen is in the Business Recovery and Insolvency team based in the Sydney Office. She has more than 15 years’ experience in the insolvency industry and has extensive experience in both corporate and personal insolvency appointments, covering a broad range of industries.
She has a practical approach in achieving fair and commercial results for all stakeholders on insolvency appointments.
Starting as an Intermediate with PKF back in 2005, Kristen has developed her skills in the world of bankruptcies and insolvencies, helping businesses and individuals through financial difficulty. In 2022, Kristen gained her registration as a Trustee in Bankruptcy and is one of the 10% of female trustees in Australia, which is a major milestone for Kristen and the firm.
Recent examples of work include:
- Personal insolvency experience, including personal insolvency agreements, section 73 proposals and asset realisations resulting in bankruptcies being annulled
- Conducting detailed investigations, public examinations and recovery actions under a range of insolvency administrations in both corporate and personal insolvency matters
- Managing and selling distressed businesses, as well as assisting distressed businesses to identify and implement recovery strategies
- Recapitalisation of ASX-listed companies
- Members’ Voluntary Liquidations, including club amalgamations
- Turnaround assignments and monitoring programs on behalf of financiers, including reporting on compliance issues under various facilities.
