The opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious manager who will be able to support our client’s international tax structuring, transfer pricing and compliance requirements.

You will take a lead role in managing transfer pricing engagements, strategic corporate tax advisory and supporting the wider tax team, helping stakeholders of private and public corporate groups navigate the international tax landscape while appropriately managing tax risks.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of Transfer Pricing policies and operating models for Australian MNEs and startups
  • Applying Australian and OECD transfer pricing guidelines in client engagements
  • Meeting with clients to conduct functional analysis interviews and discuss other transfer pricing matters
  • Preparation of benchmarking analysis and financial models
  • Managing research, functional and financial analysis on companies and the industries in which they operate
  • Preparation of Transfer Pricing documentation in relation to various intercompany transactions, including financial transactions
  • Provision of commercial advice in respect of new or existing transactions, working with medium/large established companies
  • Meeting with clients to conduct functional analysis interviews and discuss other transfer pricing matters
  • Inbound and Outbound structuring, transaction support, planning and global value chain/business transformations
  • Leading projects; working closely with clients and other service lines locally and internationally
  • Supporting clients with ATO risk reviews and transfer pricing disputes
  • Review detailed, technical documentation (reports, memos etc.) and provide feedback to junior team members in a way that enables them to learn and develop their tax technical skills

What you need to apply

  • A Business, Commerce or Law Degree or Masters of Tax
  • CA Qualified/ Australian Tax Institute accreditation
  • A deep understanding of the global OECD Transfer Pricing framework, Australian legislation and administrative guidance and ongoing BEPS developments
  • Relevant tertiary and CA / CPA qualifications
  • Outstanding statistical, analytical and refined research skills
  • 5 – 6 years transfer pricing experience
  • The ability to communicate complex tax considerations in a clear and concise manner
  • Exceptional work ethic
