We are looking for an Undergraduate or Graduate who is seeking an opportunity beginning in June this year, to work a minimum of 30 hours per week in our Brisbane CBD office. 

The opportunity

This opportunity suits an Undergraduate or Graduate who is seeking an opportunity beginning in June this year, to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are eager to get a head start in their accounting career. Previous accounting firm experience is not necessary. You will gain experience in Audit with potential for rotation in Business Services and/or Tax.

Key responsibilities

Duties will include:

  • Assist with the planning and completion of external audit engagements
  • Direct client communication for the planning and preparation of fieldwork and completion of financial statements
  • Working closely with the management team to ensure client work is completed to a high standard
  • Working across a diverse portfolio of ASX listed, large Pty Ltd, not-for-profits and clubs clients
  • Travel to and from clients as and when required
  • Participation in firm internal and external training sessions

What you need to apply

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be in the process of completing or have completed an accounting degree (BCom or BBus)
  • Have a strong academic record throughout/completion of university studies
  • A strong energy and motivation to start a career in accounting;
  • Be available to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week, with some flexibility with regards to which days are worked
