John's journey in the world of accounting began during his teenage years when he discovered his passion while working in his father's accounting business in Singleton. This early exposure fueled his ambition to pursue a career in accounting.
To equip himself with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the field, John enrolled at The University of Newcastle, where he completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree.
In January 1978, John's career took a significant turn when he secured a position in the tax department of Coopers & Lybrand's Newcastle Office. His dedication and expertise didn't go unnoticed, and in 1982, he accepted an appointment within the firm to assist in opening a new office in Scone.
It was in Scone that John not only found professional fulfillment but also discovered a deep appreciation for the countryside.
With over 25 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant, John has become a trusted advisor in the field of business services. His extensive portfolio of clients spans various industries, including rural, retail, and the services sector, to name just a few.
John's commitment to his community is equally impressive. He actively participates in various committees and has earned a distinguished Life membership in APEX, showcasing his dedication to giving back.
