PKF Australia bolsters sustainability and ESG support for clients with launch of national practice
Accounting and advisory network PKF Australia has entered into a joint venture with Perth-founded consulting firm Parvate ESG to bolster support for businesses seeking to address their mandated sustainability requirements.
Founded in Perth and now operating nationally, the new entity, PKF Parvate Sustainability, delivers specialist support to help businesses benchmark their current sustainability performance, set clear roadmaps for the future, and implement meaningful change.
“This is another significant development for PKF Australia,” said Steve Meyn, Chair of PKF Australia.
“PKF’s joint venture with Parvate ESG reflects our commitment to solving, at times, complicated, multi-disciplinary problems for our clients, and to turning them into strategic advantages,” said Steve.
The new Australian Sustainability and Reporting Standards (ASRS) came into effect on 1 January 2025 to mandate sustainability reporting for certain-sized businesses, encouraging more transparency, and aligning Australia with global standards.
“PKF was a natural fit for us, having experienced their exceptional work as clients initially. We appreciated the proactive, yet pragmatic approach, with a client base that will benefit from early education and awareness opportunities. We have seen significant uptake already within the network,” said Jim Allenby, Managing Director of PKF Parvate Sustainability.
“ASRS is not just a compliance exercise – it’s a catalyst for better business practices,” said Jim.
“It’s very important that businesses allow enough time to prepare, to self-assess, and to take advantage of the strategic opportunities this new compliance requirement can offer,” he said.
“With the reporting deadline in place, organisations need to build the necessary infrastructure for data collection and analysis, and train their teams or engage external expertise to meet the compliance standards."
"The team at PKF Parvate Sustainability is, of course, here to help.”
