Intermediate or Senior Insolvency Accountant
Advisory

Join our team as an insolvency accountant
Working with businesses that are in distress is challenging. But, as advisers, we have the opportunity to help business owners and people affected by a potential insolvency to minimize the damage and, in some cases, revive a failing business. We are currently seeking an Intermediate Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our Newcastle Business Recovery & Insolvency Team. To be a success you’ll need to have excellent organisational and time management skills, be well presented and self-motivated.
The opportunity
We work with people from all walks of life and across various industries. Our perfect candidate will be a quick learner, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be familiar with Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. In insolvency, we are dealing with people at a highly emotive time in their lives and resilience and empathy are key traits that we’re looking for in our new recruit.
In return, we’ll offer you access to industry leaders to learn from. Our people have vast experience at managing corporate and personal insolvencies as well as rescuing failing businesses and getting them back on their feet and will teach you how to become an expert in your trade.
About PKF
The largest firm in the PKF Australia network sits in the city of Newcastle, where the beach and the city cohabit and workers often enjoy the luxury of an early morning surf, the opportunity to live on a ‘property’ with land and cattle, and a short drive to work. Those that choose the suburbs are even closer to the office but, can still have the benefits of water views or a sprawling garden. The PKF office is based in the heart of the city and of course close to beaches, restaurant hubs and quirky coffee hangouts. Newcastle has it all!
The business community in Newcastle is thriving with new businesses appearing or transitioning to Newcastle regularly. The region surrounding the city is known for its innovative culture and embracing of new ideas and fostering change. Though our cousins up the road in Sydney may refer to Newcastle as “Sleepy Hollow”, the town balances its business community with that of a growing tourism base, hosting major events and attracting great talent.
