PKF Tamworth and Walcha welcome new stakeholders
11 Aug 2016
Leading New England accounting and business advisory firm PKF looks to the future welcoming new equity partners Sarah Reay, Megan Mann and Evan Brownsmith.
The trio, all long-term senior staff in the firm, join current partners Mark O’Connor, Brian Wall and Margaret van Aanholt as owners and directors of the Tamworth and Walcha based business.
Sarah is a Chartered Accountant with more than 15 years’ experience in both public practice and commerce. Sarah’s hands on approach is very popular with our clients and Sarah is an excellent mentor to our younger staff. Sarah manages a diverse range of clients and has excellent taxation, valuation and cloud accounting expertise.
In addition to working with her business clients, Megan heads up the firm’s superannuation division which currently looks after more than 150 self-managed super funds. Megan is qualified as a SMSF Specialist Advisor and is also licensed under AFS to provide tailored superannuation advice. PKF Tamworth & Walcha are thrilled to be able to offer their clients such a specialized and high level service locally.
Evan joined the firm from Newcastle in 2013. Evan is a Chartered Accountant and engages actively in local community organisations, most notably on the board of the local cricket association. Proud father of one, Evan is passionate about the health of business in regional areas.
Speaking on behalf of the current partners, Margaret van Aanholt says “We are excited to have Sarah, Megan and Evan on board. We welcome the new skills and enthusiasm they will bring to our equity group and we look forward to working together to continue to provide quality service to our clients and look for opportunities to expand and grow the services we offer.
Following on from the recent admission of Michelle Higgerson as a shareholder and director of PKF Wealth, our financial advisory division, we are proud to be able to offer these opportunities to our younger staff and welcome the energy and vigour they will bring to our businesses.
We discuss with our clients their options to implement succession plans with a view to the future. Whilst it is an essential part of the progression of all businesses it can be a challenging exercise. Taking this step ourselves has provided positive outcomes for all parties and has given the firm’s senior tier first hand insight into navigating this process with our clients.
PKF Tamworth and Walcha is proudly locally owned and operated. It is expected that the continued success of the PKF network in Australia and internationally will provide new and varied opportunities for staff and clients locally."
PKF operates in 150 countries across 5 continents and is amongst the top 10 accounting firms nationally.
