Professional experience

Robert is the lead Partner of PKF Adelaide’s Business Advisory and Management teams.

His passion is to assist growing businesses to maximise their potential and work towards the goals of his clients, whether in business or personal.

Robert works with clients across all industries but has an interest in the franchisee and large not-for-profit space.

His specialty areas include Business Advisory, including board positions, CFO function and management services, and work, including budgeting, business strategy and succession planning. Robert also recently assisted the Government of South Australia with an extensive valuation project.

Robert is the Bursar (CFO) for a residential University College with duties including reporting to the Board, cash flow reporting and forecasting, maintaining contracts, arranging borrowings and assisting with capital projects.

When he isn’t working, Robert is active and still manages time to play soccer while training for running events, including a couple of Marathons. All this with three kids and various volunteer roles with sporting clubs, schools and an African-based charity.

Recent examples of work include:

  • He successfully managed the purchase of multiple franchises of a large, multinational fast-food chain, including preparing valuations in addition to negotiating with the multinational and banks
  • He assisted a third-generation national motor vehicle retailer, with sales in excess of $40 Million per annum, in finalising a complex succession plan, including cashflow forecasting
  • Has worked within a University Residential College for over 15 years in all financial aspects, including forecasting, preparation of accounts, strategic decisions, dealing with all stakeholders and undergoing capital projects in excess of $11 Million
  • Valuation of numerous entities as part of the State Government’s Compulsory Acquisition Program.
