PKF's Andrew Beattie - Mentor of the Year 2022

PKF is proud to announce Director, Andrew Beattie, as the 2022 Australian Accounting Awards Mentor of the Year.

Known as the benchmark of excellence in Australia, the awards recognised the hard work of over 297 short-listed finalists, across 14 group categories, with only 22 winners taking home a trophy on the night.

Recently celebrating his 15th anniversary with the firm, winning the award is just a further recognition of Andrew’s dedication to developing the team around him.

“I am very humbled to be the winner of this prestigious award. It continues to validate the difference that you can make in the lives of your team and others in the industry, helping them to grow as professionals to create the next generation of leaders.” Beattie said.

“It is all about leading by example for me and having my values in order has always been the top of the list. I must reflect on the most important qualities of a leader in encouraging my mentees to make a difference in the community. When I see the difference that they begin to make in others’ lives like supporting charities and volunteering their time in local organisations, that is when I can say that I have fulfilled my duties as a mentor.”

Andrew’s mentoring capabilities have seen him play key roles in the firms Dare to Aspire and Thrive and Lead programs, both internal initiatives that aim to support the growth of the team at PKF in different stages of their careers. As a further reflection of his mentoring success, Andrew has recently been instrumental in the progression of two female leaders to Principal and will continue to play a significant role in their journey to Partner.

The Australian Accounting Awards celebrates the best of the best within the accounting industry across the nation, recognising those that drive professional development, innovation and success in their careers.

Accountants Daily editor Philip King said on the night: “The Australian Accountants Awards offers a moment to pause and honour the best of the best in the profession over the past 12 months,”. “There is no higher reward than the acclaim of your peers. The awards night is about celebrating and toasting our winners, along with the winning spirit in every one of you.”
