What’s missing in your life? Why don’t you have everything you want?
We talk a lot about the importance of goals and how they should be written down, visible, shared with others etc. You know that by doing those things, your chance of attaining those goals increases out of sight but it’s really only part of the picture. The most important piece that often goes missing – implementation.
Why is it that despite coming up with stacks of great ideas and strategies to grow, most small-medium business owners will just go back into their business and do the same thing that they did yesterday – it does my head in. What they are really saying is that they want to keep doing things as they have always done, but get a massive increase in business performance and value. From over 15 years of experience I can promise you it rarely works like that. If you want a different outcome, you need to make some changes. Sometimes those changes might be hard work but that doesn’t mean you should steer clear of them.
It’s time to step up and make the shift. Turn your business into something that you and your family will be proud of for generations to come. Make your business deliver on the financial needs of your family and give you back time to spend with them.
Having helped many business owners through this issue, I can tell you that most of the time the changes required aren’t particularly hard or expensive, they just need some focus and attention from the leadership team. The problem is that in today’s connected world, you’ve got meetings, calls, texts, emails, tweets, instant messaging, facebook and a bunch of other things competing for your attention and your time. Who could possibly have the time to work ON their business when they are so busy working IN it.
It comes down to a matter of priorities. You have the same amount of hours in every day as everyone else. You have the same number of hours as Richard Branson or Elon Musk but are you using yours as effectively as they are?
It may be that all you need is help to identify your priorities, delegate low value tasks and hold accountability to the key actions that are required to take your business to the next level.
Start living your future of choice.
