PKF has always believed in the importance of giving back to the community. To this end we provide discounted services to charities such as The Cancer Council Australia, and do pro bono work for charities that simply do not have the funding for the essential services they require to keep doing their worthy work. However, we felt there was still more PKF could do and introduced PKF Connect, our corporate social responsibility program in the PKF East Coast Practice (ECP).
PKF Connect enables each and every PKF ECP employee to play a meaningful part in the local communities in which we live and work. By making significant contributions, both by way of donations and through our volunteering channels, PKF is able to make a positive contribution and have a meaningful relationship with the community. Each employee can spend one work day each year supporting one of our nominated charities.
Charities currently supported by PKF Connect are:
Daystar Foundation & Ardoch Youth Foundation
Ardoch Youth Foundation supports children who are at risk of not completing their education due to personal limiting circumstances.
Literacy Buddies
PKF staff are buddied to a child and send and receive letters once a month. They also meet their buddy at the end of the year at a Christmas party. Through the letters, the children are provided with a positive adult role model and are hopefully encouraged to read and write.
Basic Needs Drive
PKF staff donate goods which are distributed to families in need.
