During his 40 years of experience in chartered accountancy, John has advised a diverse range of business. His wealth of practical experience enables John to act as an additional member of the management team of any small to medium sized business. 

John started in PKF's audit section before progressing through the other business units of the practice. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, John was seconded to a London practice for three years. During this time he worked on medium to large audits and special investigations.

By taking on the compliance side of a business, John enables the owners and operators to concentrate more effectively on their core business. His advice is also sought on budgets, cash flows, business strategic business direction, retirement options for the owners and wealth creation.

He currently manages a portfolio of family business, managing the different aspirations of the individual family members, including family dispute resolution service. Most small and medium sized businesses are owned and operated by families. Even the most successful family businesses have times when differences of opinion between individual family members can cause the business to falter. Disagreements about future growth plans, changes in responsibilities or business succession, or simply the impact of personal decisions such as marriage, divorce or major purchases, can pull family members in opposite directions. Our role is to keep families focused on their business goals by managing issues and negotiating the best possible outcome for their specific circumstances.

John also audits medium sized organisations in the construction, civil and contracting sectors, as well as semi-government enterprises
