Following the success of last season’s sponsorship, PKF Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers and the Tasmanian Tigers have enhanced their relationship this season with PKF committing as the official naming rights sponsors of the team. PKF’s National Chairman, David Ratcliffe said that PKF last season formalised their support of the much loved national sport, domestic cricket.

"We were eager to promote our support and enhance our involvement again this year and PKF are very proud and excited about the PKF Tasmanian Tigers. “The Tigers have won two out of the three competition titles in the past two years, the Pura Cup and the Ford Ranger Cup. PKF have every confidence that the team will continue their high-quality performance and hopefully will walk away with a hat-trick in the coming season," Mr Ratcliffe said.

The sponsorship commitment was foreshadowed at the Tasmanian Tigers’ Ricky Ponting Medal celebration in March 2008, and is now confirmed. With the 2008-09 season now underway, PKF’s presence cannot be missed above the Tigers official logo. With specialty practices in every State and Territory in Australia, PKF are members of the PKF international accounting association with some 400 offices in 119 countries worldwide.

TCA Chairman, Tony Harrison said he was delighted that PKF had decided to enhance the support of the Tasmanian Tigers in what should be an exciting season and beyond. “The Tasmanian Tigers are the public face of Tasmanian cricket and The TCA is pleased to welcome PKF on board as the team’s official naming rights sponsor. “It is a great fit and we hope to build upon our relationship with PKF well into the future, mutually benefiting from the invigorating and enhancing partnership,” Mr Harrison said.

The PKF Tasmanian Tigers will play their first domestic match for the season in a Sheffield Shield clash against Queensland at the Gabba starting on the 10th of October.
