Rick is the Managing Partner of PKF's Mount Barker practice and is a specialist in the road transport and primary producers industries. Rick Copping’s knowledge of the road transport industry is evidenced by the number of guest speakers and other specialist consulting assignments he has been engaged for. Some presentations he has delivered include, RTF (now ATA) annual trucking conference guest speaker, Royal Pines 1997, Canberra, 1998 and Adelaide 1999. South Australia Road Transport Association 1997/98, Freightliner dealer conference Brisbane 1999, NSW LTA viability workshop 1999, RTF Safety and Viability conference, Albury 1999, AFRA annual conference, Melbourne 1997, joint facilitator of many one day Truck Plus workshops across Australia, Natroads annual conference 1998, Cummins Australia, BP Australia, ALTA annual conference July 1999, Bandag, SA LTA annual conference 1999. He is also an endorsed service provider of the RTF's Truckplus products.
Rick managed his family's 3,000 acre mixed farm in the South East of South Australia until 30 years of age. He provides his rural clients with much more than just old fashioned tax services. Setting up computerised management accounting systems, selection of specialist farming software, business restructuring, preparing finance applications and budgets, preparation of succession plans are just some examples of services provided to rural clients.
In addition to road transportation and primary producer industry related services, Rick's service capabilities also include audit of small to medium sized businesses; business structure design and set-up; taxation planning, preparation and lodgement of tax returns; management based accounting; costing and break-even models; finance applications for whole of business or individual assets; designing business structures; accounting software selection and set-up; and financial analysis reports.
